The Add Operator Dup checking logic has been updated to incorporate phone number. Using the phone number the following conditions constitute a match.

Existing operators are considered candates for matching only within the territory to which the operator is being added. This list of candidates is further qualified by by the first three characters of the zip code or the city and state if the zipcode is not provided.

Once this list of candiates has been established the following rules are applied to determine if any of the candiates are likely to be a duplicate of the operator being added. The last two rules involving phone number are new.

· Exact Street Address and Company Name off by 4 or less

· Street Address off by 1 or less and Company Name off by 2 or less

· Exact Phone Number and Company Name off by 5 or less

· Phone Number off by 1 and Company Name off by 3 or less

When multiple rules are met the candiate record with the least difference in name and street address is used.

The change effects all of our customers that use the Operator Porfolio. There are no user interface changes affected by this change.
