The source values opportunity export
columns company_mgmt_co and company_gpo have been changed to use
the value from the FSE Chain Operator Profile instead of the clients value in
their Operator Directory. The
company_mgmt_co and/or company_gpo columns will only be populated if the Client
Operator is properly mapped to a legitimate FSE Chain Operator Profile. If the Client Operator is not properly
mapped to an FSE Chain Operator Profile the values company_mgmt_co and
company_gpo will export as blank.
The purpose of this change it to
normalize the exchange of information between brokers and manufacturers
regarding operator affiliations (Contract Management Companies and GPOs).
The Opportunity Import process will
now handle values in the company_mgmt_co and company_gpo columns
differently. If the value in the column
can be matched to value to an FSE Chain Operator Profile record it is okay, if
not it is an exception and that record will be skipped.
If the importing company does not
have an affiliation for the matched FSE Chain Operator Profile only the
affiliation reference is ignored the rest of the record is processed as if it
were blank. If the importing company
does have an an affiliation for the matched FSE Chain Operator Profile a
corresponding affiliate/affiliation relationship is established in the
importing company's database as it did before this change.
The net effect of this change will
be a reduced number of exceptions relating to the company_mgmt_co and
company_gpo values produced during the Opportunity Import process. It will also allow the import processor to
distinguish between mis-spellings of legitiate affiliate names Primeir vs.
Premier and references to affiliates that are legitimate but just not of
interest to the Manufacturer - i.e. Great Lakes Co-Op.
